The World After Book 2 eBook Ryan Casey Reviews
I am enjoying the series, for the most part. The main character is somewhat unlikeable, however, not every character is meant to be liked. Somewhat distressing that many of the more engaging characters are killed off. Will be interesting to see what happens in part three.
With Scott still trying to open up and trust people, he also has feelings for Hannah. But with every 2 steps the group take, two psycho, yep I said t w o! Mike isn't the only nut job trying to capture Scott's group to kill him. Another group has a leader who has a screw loose too.
The merry group might not be merry anymore.
One was barely readable. Book 2 was so appallingly bad that I gave up a Chapter 11 . Character development is nonexistent , and it is almost unbelievable how stupid his creations are in their circumstance. Lionel, the dog, was the only character with any redeeming qualities. And only because he was a dog . Villains are comically evil , practically twirling their mustache as they declare their evil intentions . If it wasn't on a , the only redeeming quality of this book would be for use as toilet paper in a post-apocalyptic society.
Book 2 did not disappoint me! This English version of SHTF teaches us what a virtual defenseless people will have to endure should the lights go out! I keep hoping that Scott will find access to some military weapons and ammo!
I like how the author fleshes out his characters by not piling on the entirety of their histories all at once but allows us to get to find out about them as the story progresses!
Scott is becoming more realistic at this point and I hope more aggressive in his protection of Holly!
On to Book 3!
I made it 1/3 of the way through this second book and had to give up. These people cannot support a dystopian story. They're weak, clueless, aimless, uninformed sheep.You've got a group 8 people who come together the first day of collapse and within 3 months all but 2 are dead and the haven't learned a thing about surviving or protecting themselves. I'm just glad I borrowed these books and didn't buy them.
